Adding allowed domains for your widget

Your RoofSell widget only appears on websites listed under Allowed Domains on the Developer page. If your site isn't on the list, the widget stays hidden there, even when the script is installed correctly.

How to add allowed domains

  1. Click Developer in the sidebar.
  2. If the widget is off, switch on the Widget Plugin toggle. The Allowed Domains card appears below it.
  3. Type your domain in the box, for example example.com. Leave out https:// and any page path.
  4. Click the + button to add another domain. You can add up to 5.
  5. Click SAVE CHANGES.

www, subdomains and test sites

Each entry has to match the web address your visitors see. RoofSell treats example.com and www.example.com as different sites, so add both if your site opens on both. The same goes for subdomains such as quotes.example.com.

You can also add localhost if you test the widget on your own computer before it goes live.

Why the widget isn't showing on your site

The widget only appears when all four of these are true:

  • Your subscription is active or in its free trial.
  • The Widget Plugin toggle on the Developer page is on.
  • At least one product is selected on the Products page.
  • The page's domain is on your Allowed Domains list, typed exactly as it appears in the browser.

If all four check out and you still don't see it, clear your website's cache and reload the page. Still nothing? Open a support ticket under Widget & installation.
