RoofSell has 2 user roles. The account owner is the person who created the account, and sales reps are the people the owner adds on the Team page. In the app, the owner's role badge reads contractor and a rep's reads sales rep. There are no other permission levels to set up.
What the 2 user roles can do
Account owner (contractor)
- Sees every lead and quote in the company on the Dashboard.
- Adds and removes sales reps on the Team page.
- Manages the subscription, cards and invoices on the Billing page.
- Turns the widget on or off and edits its domains, colors and texts on the Developer page.
- Gets the new lead email each time a homeowner submits the widget.
Sales rep
- Sees only the leads assigned to them on the Dashboard. Their Analytics charts count those same leads.
- Creates quotes from Rep Quotes, updates statuses and adds notes.
- Can open the Developer page but not change it. Widget settings are managed by the account owner.
- Doesn't see the Team or Billing tabs.
Things to know about roles
- Reps depend on the owner's subscription. If it lapses, reps see a Subscription inactive screen until the owner renews.
- Products and Settings aren't locked for reps, so agree on who makes changes there.
- There's one owner per account, and the owner can't be removed from the Team page. There's no setting to move ownership to another user.
- New reps see nothing until you assign them leads. See assigning leads to sales reps.
