Good, better, best pricing in RoofSell comes from the products you select on the Products page. Each product gets its own price per square and a label, and the widget shows every selected product with its own price for the homeowner's roof.
You need at least one selected product before the widget can go live.
How to set up good, better, best pricing
- Click Products in the sidebar.
- Browse Pitch Roof Catalog or Flat Roof. To offer a product that isn't listed, open My Catalog and click Create Product.
- Click Add on each product you want to offer. You can select up to 6. The first three get the labels Good, Better and The Best automatically.
- In Selected Products on the right, click Customize on a product. Set its Label and Price Per Square, then click Save Changes.
- Drag products by the handle to change their order, then click Save Changes under the list.
How RoofSell calculates each price
For each roof section, RoofSell takes the measured area, adds your waste factor and the slope markup, then multiplies by the product's price per square.
- Waste factor: set it under Settings, Waste Factor, anywhere from 0% to 12%. It's applied to new roof sections by default.
- Slope markup: steeper roofs cost more to install, so each slope category adds a percentage. The defaults are Flat 0%, Shallow 20%, Medium 30% and Steep 40%. You can see the current values under Settings, Slope Pricing. RoofSell sets these, so they can't be edited from your account.
- A product with no price per square still shows in the widget, but without a price.
Choosing labels
Labels appear as a colored badge on each product card. Besides Good, Better and The Best, you can pick Most Popular, Most Curb Appeal, Max Storm Protection, Maintenance Free or Best For Budget, or type your own. Use each label once so homeowners can tell the options apart.
On the same Customize screen you can rename the product, choose which colors show and edit the warranty, top features, what's included and additional cost details that homeowners see.
